What does a website cost?

Here's what things cost with me. No hourly rates, no hidden items, and a fixed figure before you say yes to anything.

01 / the problem

Nobody will answer you, and there's a reason.

Ask five agencies what a website costs and you'll get “it depends” five times. Not because they're hiding something. Because a site with three subpages and a contact form, and a site with table booking, a menu in four languages and a searchable database, are two completely different pieces of work.

But you still need to budget before you spend an hour in a meeting.

So here are the numbers. You get a fixed quote, not an hourly estimate.

02 / what you get

Prices without surprises.

450–2,200 USD
A website with SEO, keyword research, redesign and advice on how you're going to rank. For you if you have a site nobody finds, or need a simple one that works.
900–5,200 USD
The full build. Optimised for both Google and AI search like ChatGPT, full setup for ranking, keyword research, integrations and multiple languages if you sell in more than one market.
35 USD/month
Hosting, maintenance and edits. You shouldn't have to touch the technical side, and small changes are included.
75 USD/month
Ongoing SEO every month. Or buy the SEO system and run it yourself: it generates SEO-optimised articles in every language, so you can rank top in every country you sell in. Ask about the price of the tool.
0 USD
A design draft. You see what your website could look like before you commit to anything at all.
Fixed quote
You get scope, price and timeline in writing after our conversation. The price doesn't change along the way unless you ask for more.

03 / proof

Five things that move the price.

fra mit eget arbejde

Number of pages is the obvious one, but rarely the dearest. Copy costs if someone has to write it, and it decides whether the site sells. Features like booking, payment and search are real development. Languages multiply the work if done properly rather than with Google Translate. And SEO costs more to bolt on afterwards than to build in from the first line of code.

04 / why cheaper

Why is it cheaper than the others?

It's a fair question, and the answer isn't that you get less. It's that it costs me less to make.

i

I built the tools myself

Keyword research, competitor analysis and first drafts used to be manual. It took days per client. Today it runs through an AI system I built myself, pulling live data from Google rather than guessing. Research takes hours instead of days, and I pass that saving on rather than billing it.

ii

Revisions cost almost nothing

At a large agency a copy change goes through a project manager, a copywriter and a developer, and you pay for all three. With me I change it while we're talking. That's why I can say yes to revising until you're happy, instead of charging per change.

iii

You're not paying for a middle layer

There's no city-centre office rent, no sales department and no layers between you and the person building the site. It's a cheaper way to run this, and the price reflects it.

What hasn't been cut is the work. Sites are built from scratch rather than on a template, the copy is written for your business specifically, and SEO is designed in from the first line of code. Cheaper here means lower costs at my end, not fewer hours in your site.

05 / the seo score

Most sites score under 30 out of 100.

The SEO score is measured with Google Lighthouse, the same tool Google uses itself. It says how easily a search engine can read your site.

typisk score, når jeg får en side tilsendt

under 30

af 100

score på de sider, jeg bygger

over 90

af 100

27 → 96
A restaurant chain with 16 locations. None of them had an address or opening hours in a format Google could read. The new site has it all written in
Under 30
Is what I typically measure when someone sends me their current site. The cause is usually the same: slow site, missing titles, and information that only exists as plain text
Over 90
Is what I build to. Not because the number itself sells anything, but because everything that lifts the score is exactly what makes you findable

The score isn't the same as a ranking on Google. It measures whether your site is technically capable of ranking. A site scoring 96 with no content still won't rank, which is why keywords and copy are part of the work rather than just the technical side.

06 / what you always get

Bygget fra bunden. Ikke fra en skabelon.

i

07 / questions

Det, folk spørger om.

What does a website cost with you?

From 450 USD for a page with SEO and keyword research, and from 900 USD for the full build with optimisation for both Google and AI search, integrations and multiple languages. You get a fixed figure after our conversation, not an hourly rate.

What are the ongoing costs?

35 USD a month for hosting, maintenance and edits. If you want ongoing SEO on top, that's 75 USD a month. Both are optional and you can decline both.

What's a design draft, and does it really cost nothing?

It costs nothing. I build a draft of what your site could look like, and you take a look. If you don't like it, you've lost nothing but the time it took to write to me.

What's the SEO system you mention?

A system I built that does keyword research and writes SEO articles in every language at volume. You can either hire me to run it for you monthly, or buy the system and run it yourself. Write if you want to see it running live.

Why is there such a difference between quotes?

Because they rarely contain the same things. A quote with a ready-made template and a quote with custom design, copy and SEO are not the same product. Always ask to see what's specifically included.

Can I split the payment?

Yes. Say so on the call and we'll work it out. I'd rather build a good site for someone paying in two instalments than build no site.

See it before you pay for it.

The design draft costs nothing. You see what your site could look like, and only then decide whether it's for you.
